Both the side plate and base plate are of Arca-Swiss standard allowing a quick switch between horizontal and vertical orientation shooting. The height of the base plate is designed to enhance grip comfort. As well, the base plate has a 1/4” and 3/8” threaded hole and a hex spanner making it convenient for users to attach other accessories. It also has a strap slit for mounting different brands of camera straps including Peak Designs. The side plate comes with multiple 1/4” threaded holes allowing mount of other accessories. For example, it can mount the shoe mount 1593 to attach a microphone. It can also mount the cable clamp 1822 to protect HDMI cable. In addition, the side plate can be slid sideways making it convenient to handle data cable.
