JJC LH-47 bayonet lens hood is specifically designed for use with Nikon's 50mm f/1.8G AF-S and 50mm f/1.4G AF-S Lenses. It prevents unwanted stray light from entering the lens by extending and shading the end of the lens. This dedicated lens hood is designed to perfectly match the specific focal length of the lenses it was designed for.
